Dongfeng Rubber’s Initiatives to Reduce Carbon Emissions and Advance Global Carbon Neutrality:

Rooftop Solar Power Systems
Our offices and factories employ distributed rooftop photovoltaic (PV) systems, generating approximately 900,000 kWh of solar energy annually. This reduces carbon emissions by 900 metric tons, equivalent to planting 90,000 trees. As a flagship clean energy solution, our PV systems convert sunlight directly into electricity with zero carbon emissions during operation.

Rubber Fume Purifiers
Production workshops are equipped with advanced rubber fume purification systems that effectively filter harmful particles, organic compounds, and sulfides during manufacturing, significantly reducing carbon-based pollutant emissions.

Catalytic Combustion Technology
Catalytic combustion devices installed in our workshops lower combustion temperatures and minimize incomplete combustion byproducts, thereby reducing greenhouse gas emissions. This technology is projected to cut 60 tons of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) annually, equivalent to eliminating emissions from 24,000 passenger vehicles, delivering substantial environmental benefits.

Third-Generation Activated Carbon Adsorption-Desorption Process
Our vulcanization workshops have undergone flue gas treatment upgrades using a third-generation activated carbon adsorption-desorption system. This achieves 80% waste gas treatment efficiency, saving 200 tonnes of coal equivalent per year (tce/a) and reducing non-methane hydrocarbon emissions by 18 tons annually.
